Abstract

Alison Wells was born in Takaka (Golden Bay, New Zealand) to Arthur Wallace Wells and Ada Wells (nee King-Turner). The family moved to Beach Road, Richmond in 1918. Alison later worked as a maternity nurse at Hillcrest Hospital on the corner of Waverley and Wensley Road.
