Abstract

Claude Lusty was one of eight children; his parents were Arthur and Caroline Lusty. His family farmed 100 acres near Champion Road and grew apricots, rock melons, and other fruit and vegetables as well as tobacco.During World War 1 his brother Felix was murdered by a fellow soldier, for money he had won playing cards.
