Abstract

Phyllis Ramsay was the eldest daughter of Walter and Ida Hill. Her family moved to Richmond from the Sherry River in 1925.  She recalls the people and places around Richmond in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. .

Phyllis had an older brother who died at 23.  She also had five younger siblings,  Vera, Joyce, Grace, Joe and Ken.
